WWAS is a collective of women and gender minorities who work in, or study, sound for Film, TV and Interactive Media. ​

Our first London social was organised by Anna Sulley and Anna Bertmark in 2017. Since then, we have expanded our network online, and now have over 500 members both in the UK and worldwide. Meetups, social media and our online presence are now managed by Anna S and Jane Lo.  As a group, our core objectives are to share information, support and promote each other.  Read our stories and find out about training and other info useful to all, on the resources page here.

We are Editors, Mixers, Recordists, Boom Operators, Artists, Designers, Engineers, Supervisors, Assistants and Educators. We work across Production Sound, Broadcast and in Post; on Dialogues, ADR, FX, Foley and Music. Capturing and creating the very best sound for Film, Animation, TV Drama, Documentary, LE, Live and Immersive.
